About Us

Aleph Education and Empowerment Foundation Ltd/Gte is a not-for-profit organization which was conceived shortly after the 2015 International Conference on disabilities in Lagos, Nigeria. The conference was initiated by Prof Paul Ajuwon in collaboration with the International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IASSIDD), headquartered in Toronto, Canada.

From the Conference, the need for building capacity in an endeavour at improving access to a fulfilling and healthy lifestyle for persons with disability in an inclusive society was manifest.

Immediately, a group of parents of persons with disabilities led by Dare Daniel and an advocate of persons with learning disabilities came together to address the challenges in many meetings and travels over several months leading to the incorporation of the foundation on December 15, 2017.
